What is Book Bee?
Book Bee collects gently used children’s books from families who have outgrown them and delivers them to programs and schools that serve children growing up in poverty.
Book Bee is a not-for-profit community-based organization in Alexandria, Virginia, that is dedicated to providing all children the opportunity to grow up in a literacy-rich environment.

Book Bee works primarily with schools and programs that serve children growing up in poverty along the Route 1 corridor of Alexandria, Virginia. If you work with families living in poverty or struggling with literacy, email Book Bee to request a donation of books.
